Night Owl Has Landed

I was recently scrolling through some pictures on my phone of adventures and places I have wandered to in the last year when I came upon a photo of an owl perched in an old maple tree. It got me reminiscing about the late night walk I was taking my dog, Gus through the acreage we were living on at the time. There was the most stunning silver moon out that night and this loud noise that drew us out of the house in search of the source. It turned out to be a majestic night owl perched high in the tree. I love how a picture can inspire a memory and a painting can bring back all of the sights, sounds, smells and emotions of a moment in time.
